Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) Therapy
Your Brain Can Heal
What is LENS therapy?
Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) is an innovative, effective and a natural approach for emotional regulation. Neurofeedback is a form of EEG biofeedback based on the electroencephalogram. It is a scientifically proven brain-based technique that helps clients balance and normalize their brain function and body regulation.
LENS Neurofeedback helps the brain to develop new3 neural pathways, to get "unstuck" from repeated patterns with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Neurofeedback provides a nice integrated approach to trauma counseling to help alleviate many symptoms of emotional stress and trauma. It helps the brain to self-correct and allows you to develop new ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling so that you can be at your best in life and in relationships with others.
LENS is remarkably effective, and over 85% of people who have used LENS have benefited significantly from it. Results can be seen quickly, often beginning within the first session, and are long lasting. LENS Neurofeedback is scientifically proven to work with many presenting issues, including (but not limited to):
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Concussions
Cognition and Clarity
What happy clients say
Client text: If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issues, I HIGHLY suggest you try
LENS therapy! I've completed 2 sessions and the difference is so noticeable! It's literally life-changing.
I want to thank my step mom for introducing me to this and helping me with my first 10 sessions!
Fighting cancer is also a mental game, and I need all the help I can get!
Step Mom's reply: It changed my life! I knew you'd benefit greatly! Helping you get it is my most complete pleasure!
I know what it did for me...and I want that for you!
How Does LENS Work?
LENS is very safe and medication-free. During the session, a Therapist attaches sensors to the client's head in order to record their brainwaves (EEG waves). For only a few seconds, LENS mirrors back the brain's faint electromagnetic impulses. This brain-mirroring allows dysfunctional patterns in the brain to reorganize and optimize functions. The information signal is far weaker than the electromagnetic field around a wrist watch, yet it typically triggers the brain to make profound, lasting changes.
Neurofeedback provides a brain-body connection to overall wellness by helping to regulate the nervous system. The brain communicates internally with electrical impulses called brain waves. The brain waves occur at different frequencies in the brain. Neurofeedback uses technology (a computerized system) to speak directly to the brain.
This communication is similar to holding a mirror up to the brain and allowing it to "see itself". Once the brain is presented with this new information, it will make necessary changes using what is referred to as neural-plasticity. LENS works to life suppression in the brain allowing the brain to be more flexible and function more optimally.
What to expect when receiving LENS treatment
LENS is FDA approved, is non-invasive, and is not painful. During the session, two or more electrodes are placed on the scalp and two electrodes are placed on the earlobes. The electrical current coming from the sensors attached to your scalp is less than the electrical current coming from your watch. LENS works well with symptoms caused by Central Nervous System dysfunction.
Clients need a series of sessions for the brain to "hold on" to the changes in the brain. The recommended number of sessions is 10, with more complicated medical issues requiring up to 20 or more sessions. Clients will complete a thorough history of their symptoms and will track changes as they progress with LENS.
The changes experienced are long-lasting and stable.
Session Duration and Fees*
The first 'intake' session is 30 minutes; fee is $50
Each follow up session is 15 minutes; fee is $35/each
*At this time, some insurance policies do pay towards the cost of LENS treatments, although some do not.
When you contact us to arrange an appointment, we can advise you whether or not your insurance may pay towards the fee, or whether you will be expected to pay at time of service.
